Globalization vs. Deglobalization in the Post-Pandemic World

About the Lecture

Soon after the Covid-19 pandemic struck, globalization as we know it was declared dead. This was not the first-time globalization was pronounced dead. Globalization was pronounced dead following the global recession of 2008-09, and terms such as deglobalization were used after the financial crisis of 2011-12. Will globalization survive the post-pandemic world? Find out this Saturday at 14 GMT in Prof. Habibul Haque Khondker's lecture.

Prof. Khondker is Professor of Social Sciences at Zayed University, UAE and co-chair of Research Committee 9 (Social Transformations and Sociology of Development), International Sociological Association. Previously, he was an Associate Professor of Sociology at the National University of Singapore.
