SSL-MENA Programs
The Social Sciences Lab MENA offers a range of international academic programs designed to support researchers at different stages of their academic journey. The Scholars Incubator Program provides emerging MENA scholars with structured mentorship, research training, expert-led sessions, and guidance on academic publishing and international opportunities. The MENA Junior Fellowship supports early-career researchers in developing their research, strengthening their academic profiles, and engaging with a wider international scholarly community. The MENA Non-Resident Fellowship brings together researchers for collaborative, long-term work on MENA-related issues, including joint research, publications, academic activities, and the development of future funding opportunities. The MENA Visitors Program offers researchers the opportunity to undertake a focused research visit, develop their work, engage with the Lab’s academic network, and benefit from an international research environment.
MENA Visitors Program
MENA Visitors Program host scholars affiliated with institutions based outside the MENA region. This program is established to support research mobility in MENA by offering visitors a space to network with scholars of the same research interest and to acquaint them with experience, skills, and academic orientation under the supervision of our senior scholars.
MENA Non-Resident Fellowship
After months of preparation, we are pleased to announce the launch of the Non-MENA Visitors Program.
The program welcomes scholars affiliated with institutions outside the MENA region who are conducting research related to the region. It is designed to support research mobility by providing opportunities for academic networking, knowledge exchange, and collaboration with the SSL–MENA research community under the guidance of our senior scholars.
Scholars Incubator Program
The Scholars Incubator Program supports junior scholars from the MENA region by providing mentorship, institutional affiliation, and access to academic opportunities within a collaborative research community. The program is designed to strengthen participants' academic and research careers through personalized guidance, workshops, and networking with scholars who share similar research interests, while fostering long-term engagement with Social Sciences Lab MENA's academic ecosystem.
MENA Junior Fellowship
MENA Junior Fellowship supports early-career researchers with a demonstrated interest in MENA studies. The program is established to strengthen research capacity by providing fellows with mentorship, opportunities to collaborate with scholars sharing similar research interests, and exposure to academic skills, research practices, and professional development under the guidance of our senior scholars.
